Brian and Anne live in Leyland, Lancashire.

Brian joined the club in the early 80’s when he was finally getting around to restoring his Series I Lambretta and needed all the help he could get. Not a child of the scooter era his interest was fuelled by owning the Lambretta and its subsequent restoration.
Brian’s interest in the club grew over the years primarily from attending the various shows and events organised by the club and probably more importantly by getting involved. This involvement grew to such an extent that he was eventually co-opted onto the Committee as a general Committee member with no specific role other than getting things done.

Anne’s background in banking made a her an ideal candidate for the role as treasurer when Bill Drake decided to stand down and she was subsequently appointed to this post which has turned out to be an ever increasing role given the growth of the club and its activities, to such an extent that Brian and Anne now fulfill the role of ‘Finance Team’.

The family attend the majority of club events, including the camping weekends and various shows the club runs, and Hannah can usually be found supervising the club shop and stand.

Brian’s favourite event during the year is the Custom and Vintage show which has also increased in complexity and size year on year and is now a major undertaking requiring high levels of organisation and control.

All the family really enjoys the camaraderie and friendship that is endemic in the club and counts many club members and the rest of the committee as personal friends. They would encourage all club members to participate in the various events the committee puts on throughout the year, as they are a great source of enjoyment and fun.

“When I joined” said Brian “I never realised how the club would become such a part of our lives and all the family are proud to be associated with such a well respected club and can only see the club going from strength to strength in the future”.

Anne’s only moan about the club is that it has resulted in her losing use of the garage for parking her car as it is filled with various scooters requiring T.L.C..
