Vehicle Registration

The club is authorised by the DVLA to provide a dating service for appropriate vehicles for which a registration number is required, and can help in either providing a ‘Certificate of Recommendation’ for application to retain an original number, or a Dating certificate, which accurately dates the machine for which an age related registration mark is being applied for.

The authorised representative for the DVLA dating is Ian Harrop.

There is NO method of electronically communicating the DVLA registration to Ian and to establish DVLA dating and registration of your machine you must contact him by  telephone directly on:

01942 743428  (before 2100 hours please)

Under NO circumstances must contact be made via the contact link on this Web Site, as the complexity of this process requires specific conversations dialogue, which is difficult to confirm via email and paper documentary evidence will also be necessary.

Be prepared to have hard copy photographs of your vehicle, together with (where necessary and requested),photographs of the chassis and engine numbers to be sent to him for verification along with pencil rubbings of the numbers if necessary and required.

These should be posted to:

The club uses its Marque Experts to facilitate this service and all times works under the guidance and oversight of the DVLA.

The club, as an authorised signatory, is allowed to charge a fee for this service and rates can be obtained from Ian when required.
